Welcome to Beth Abraham

... Dayton Ohio’s only Conservative synagogue. We are a welcoming congregation filled with the energy of Jewish renewal. Continuing a tradition of progressive Judaism going back more than a century, Beth Abraham is located in Oakwood, where our worship is held in a stunning sanctuary and one of the most beautiful chapels in the world. We are an enthusiastically egalitarian synagogue, and welcome Jews of every diversity, including interfaith couples and families dedicated to Jewish living.

On Friday, January 18, Beth Abraham and Corinthian Baptist Church will join together for our annual service honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This years’ service will take place at Beth Abraham at 7:30 pm. Singers and musicians from both congregations will fill our sanctuary with joyous music and our clergy will offer words of inspiration. Please enter the synagogue through the upstairs entrance.

We hope to see you then!

Our first Decade Shabbat will be held on Saturday, January 26 when we will celebrate our beginning House of Abraham years.  Learn about our early history and be regaled with family stories of that time.  We’ll have a meaningful service and lots of surprises at Kiddush lunch!
