Welcome to Beth Abraham

... Dayton Ohio’s only Conservative synagogue. We are a welcoming congregation filled with the energy of Jewish renewal. Continuing a tradition of progressive Judaism going back more than a century, Beth Abraham is located in Oakwood, where our worship is held in a stunning sanctuary and one of the most beautiful chapels in the world. We are an enthusiastically egalitarian synagogue, and welcome Jews of every diversity, including interfaith couples and families dedicated to Jewish living.

SOFER'S CRAFT ON DISPLAY

A sofer (scribe) is coming to Beth Abraham from August 19th through 23rd. The sofer will evaluate our Torahs and make necessary repairs. There will be a presentation by the sofer on 8/20 at 7:00 pm - Delve Into What Torah REALLY Is! A Window Into the Sofer's World.

There will also be a designated time during that week to observe the sofer's work. This will be a unique and wonderful opportunity to learn more about a sofer's  work and will provide an educational experience for all. More information will follow regarding the observation time.
